The Elite 8 offers multiple league options for players looking for the most competitive play in Northern Vermont.
18+ Indoor League
Our most competitive indoor league. The 18+ league is perfect for high school varsity players, college club players, and lifelong players in their prime. This league plays Monday nights at the Shelburne Field House during the winter months.
Format: 7v7 (6 + a keeper)
Number of Sessions: 2
Season: Indoor Only
Dates: Session 1 = Nov - Jan / Session 2 = Jan - April
Location: Shelburne Field House
Game Days: Monday nights
Times: Typically 9 & 10pm
Team Fee: $1,850 for a 10 week session
Player Age: 18+ primarily. Younger players are eligible but US SafeSport rules may apply to your team.
25+ Adult League
Our flagship league, the one that started it all. The 25+ league offers year round play with 4 sessions, each session offering 10 - 12 weeks of games. Geared towards lifelong players ages 25+ looking for fast paced, high action soccer. The 25+ league wraps up each session with a single elimination tournament and an apres party at the local watering hole. To keep younger players coming into the league each roster is allowed 2 “babies”. Babies must be at least 20 years old to play.

Player Age: 25+. Each team is allowed two babies on the roster. Babies must at least 20 years old.
40+ Legends League
The Elite 8 Soccer League kicked off in 2017 and many of the league’s original players are still ballin’ out… but they’re a decade older and asking for a division all their own. Always looking to support player demand, new this winter (2025/2026) we’re launching a 5v5 indoor league, to be followed by a 7v7 outdoor league. The format of this league may evolve based on player feedback as we figure out the best formula.
Format: 5v5 indoor / 7v7 outdoor

Location: Nordic Indoor Center & Tree Farm in Essex
Game Days: Wednesdays Indoor, Outdoor TBD

Team Fee: $1,350 for a 10 week session
Player Age: 40+. Each team is allowed one “baby” on the roster. Babies must at least 35 years old. Goalkeepers must be at least 35 years old.
18+ Elite 11
Elite 11 is Northern Vermont’s only full field 11 v 11 men’s league. Managed by the Elite 8, the Elite 11 league offers 10 weeks of play during the summer and features the highest level of play for the area’s top high school, college and lifelong players. Games are played Sunday afternoons with one game each week played under the lights at St Mike’s College.
